According to Section 42 of The Companies Act 2017 (formerly The Companies Ordinance, 1984), PPHI Sindh is a not-for-profit organization. The Pakistan Centre of Philanthropists (PCP), a government-approved agency for recognizing Not for Profit Organisations, has also acknowledged its NPO (Not for Profit Organisation) accreditation. The board of directors, which consists of seven seasoned professionals with a wide range of experience, is in charge of running it.
Additionally, it is represented by Ex-Officio Board Members who serve as Secretaries to the Government of Sindh (Health, Finance, Planning & Development, and Population Welfare). PPHI Sindh is additionally registered with the Economic Affairs Division of the Pakistani government as a regional NGO that is qualified to accept donations from outside.
The organization was founded with the intention of reviving rural Sindh’s health care system. The first priority was to make sure the PPHI-managed medical facilities were fully operational and offering health services to everyone within their reach.
