About Punjab IT Board:
The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) was founded by the Punjabi government in 1999 as an independent organization within the Department of Industries. From 2001 to 2011, the PITB was run by the Information Technology Department.
The department’s main goals were to keep an eye on worldwide prospects, meet the expanding need for IT, create policy initiatives, and plan and carry out activities to boost the province of Punjab’s IT industry’s competitiveness. 2011 saw the dissolution of the Information Technology Department, and Punjab’s Planning and Development Department took over PITB.
