About the National Rural Support Programme:
In terms of outreach, personnel, and development initiatives, the NRSP—established in 1991—is the largest rural support program in the nation. According to Section 42 of the Companies Act 2017 (which replaced the Companies Ordinance 1984), it is a not-for-profit organization.

The conceptual instruments include advocacy, capacity building, awareness raising, and “social guidance” (hiring local men and women who will assume leadership roles). In order for rural men and women to be able to articulate their aspirations and effectively marshal the resources they require to achieve their stated needs, NRSP strives to unleash their potential abilities, skills, and knowledge. The goal is to reduce poverty by giving people the tools they need to break the cycle of poverty, which starts with a lack of opportunities, progresses to the well-known ills of economic and nutritional poor, and encourages future generations to experience the same problems.
The fact that NRSP operates in 72 Districts with a variety of socioeconomic, geographic, and cultural situations shows that the social development paradigm that NRSP upholds can be successfully implemented throughout Pakistan. Wherever it operates, NRSP is constantly striving to enhance its effectiveness, reach deeper into communities, understand how to best address the issues people identify as their top priority, and work more effectively and economically to deliver the program. NRSP is dedicated to improving its development vision throughout time. The goal of NRSP’s existence remains poverty alleviation notwithstanding the difficulty of the undertaking.
