Through the 48th MBBS / 26th BDS – Entry 2023, the Army Administered Medical Colleges (Rawalpindi, Lahore, Quetta, Karachi, Multan, Bahawalpur, and Kahrian) would be in operation. Through the Pakistan Army’s official website, www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk, online registration has begun.
Interested applicants (only men) may submit an online application for M Cadet 2023 from anywhere in Pakistan. The online registration period will run from June 19 through July 20, 2023. The applicant must meet the requirements below.

ELIGIBILITY:
- Age: 17 to 21 Years

- Qualification: F.Sc (pre-medical) with minimum 70% marks or “A” level passed in Biology, Physics, and Chemistry with minimum grade C. Candidates having domicile of Balochistan, Sind District Tharparkar, Omar Kot), Northern Areas, Azad Kashmir (Upper Neelam Valley) and FATA can apply with 65% marks. Candidates Possessing foreign qualifications such as ‘O’ Level and ‘A’ Level etc will be required to obtain an Equivalence Certificate and Conversion of marks from Inter Board Committee of Chairman (IBCC), Ministry of Education, Islamabad, and attach it with the application form. Candidates who have passed the FSc Part-1 Examination with a minimum of 70% marks and appeared/are appearing in the FSc Part-Il/final Examination can also apply on “HOPE CERTIFICATES” by the Head of the institution. Such candidates must deposit an attested copy of the FSC Part-Il Certificate/ Mark Sheets to Personnel Administration Directorate (PA-3C) GHQ Rawalpindi within 5 days of the announcement of the result, otherwise, their selection will not be processed further.
REGISTRATION AND PRELIMINARY SELECTION:

- Academic: Written test based on multiple choice questions from English Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at Army Selection & Recruitment Centers.
- Intelligence Test: Personality profiles and interviews of successful candidates will be held by the GHQ Selection Board for which separate call letters are issued.
TRAINING:
- Academic: MBBS Course 5 years at AM College/CMH Lahore Medical College / KIMS, CIMS, and QIMS. BDS Course 4 Years at AM College.
- Military: 22 x Weeks of Basic Military Training (BMT) at PMA Kakul after completion of MBBS.
BOND:
Finally, selected candidates will be required to sign a bond for 13 years to serve in the Army. The applicability of the bond will commence on completion of the MBBS/BDS Degree Course at Army Medical Colleges.
COMMISSION:
On completion of the MBBS/BDS Degree at AM College and Basic Military Training at Pakistan Military Academy Kakul, cadets will be awarded the regular commission in Pakistan Army as captains.
STIPEND:
Candidates will receive a stipend of Rs. 31,000/- (approximately) per month during training.

- Interested candidates or students visit the official website of the Pak Army such as www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk.
- The individual’s email address will be informed of the test’s date and time. Once a date is given, it cannot be modified.
- On a computerized roll no slip, candidates will report at the exact time and date specified for the preliminary exam.
- On the day of the test, candidates must also present the paperwork listed in the advertisement and pay the prospectus fee.

Common Feature of the Pak Army
OPEN FOR ALL CITIZENS OF PAKISTAN:
The Pakistan Army welcomes all eligible citizens of Pakistan irrespective of caste, creed, religion, and region to join this Prestigious National Institution.
ELIGIBILITIES:
The detailed eligibilities are given as under:
- Nationality: Male/Female citizens of Pakistan and domicile holders of Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan. Upon final selection candidates with dual nationality will have to surrender nationality other than Pakistani. Pakistani candidates having dual nationality will initiate the process for renunciation of their foreign nationality and will give an undertaking before joining the Army that they will complete the procedure for renunciation of their foreign nationality before completion of their training. Those who fail to renounce their foreign nationality or do not complete the procedure will not be granted a commission. Additionally, they will be liable to pay the training charges/bond money and will be released from the Army.
- A candidate with a specific higher qualification is eligible even if he is twice rejected by ISSB for PMA / Graduate courses or equivalents Naval/PAF Courses.
- A candidate with a specific higher qualification, who is rejected once by ISSB for PMA / Graduate course or equivalents Naval / PAF Courses and once rejected for specific higher qualification entry, will not be eligible for a third chance. However, those who achieve even higher qualifications i.e. PhD and FRCS /equivalent are eligible for a third chance (This chance is only applicable when there is a requirement for PhD and FRCS candidates).
- The recommendation of the Army, Navy & Air Force Selection Boards will remain valid for one year.
- An ISSB-recommended candidate who appeared before GHQ/NHQ /AHQ selection board for final selection, his/her ISSB result is valid for one year, however, he/she has only two chances to appear before GHQ/NHQ/AHQ selection boards.
VERIFICATION OF DEGREES / EDUCATION DOCUMENTS:
- All Candidates applying for the commission will submit their degrees/education documents duly verified by the concerned authority to PA Dte.
- Candidates in possession of duplicate/revised mark sheets/certificates must get a verification signed by the Secretary/Controller Examination of the concerned Board/University.
INELIGIBILITIES:
- Permanently declared UNFIT by Appeal Medical Board (AMB).
- Withdrawn from any Academy /Training Institution of the Armed Forces on any ground.
- Withdrawn from any bonded Armed Forces college/institution on any ground.
- Dismissed/removed/debarred from Govt. Services including Armed Forces.
- Convicted in a court of law for an offense involving moral turpitude.
- Declared medically unfit due to Hepatitis B & C (AMB cannot be requested).
- Declared unfit by any Armed Forces Hospital except those cleared by AMB.
- A candidate is ineligible if he is twice rejected by ISSB / GHQ/NHQ/AHQ Selection Board or once rejected by ISSB & once rejected by GHQ/NHQ/AHQ Selection Board.
REGISTRATION & PRELIMINARY SELECTION AT AS&RCS:
Candidates will be required to report along with required documents at AS&RCS for registration, allotment of roll number, date/time of written test, etc.
REGISTRATION THROUGH THE INTERNET:
- A candidate can register on the Pakistan Army website www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk. The date and time of the test shall be intimated on the Internet for which the individual should have an e-mail account.
- Candidates will report on the exact date and time for the preliminary test on a computerized roll no slip. The date once given will not be changed. Candidates will also be required to bring along the necessary documents and will pay the registration fee on the day of the test.
WRITTEN AND INTELLIGENCE TEST:
- The academic Intelligence test will be based on multiple-choice questions. Candidates MUST attain working knowledge of computers as registration and tests will be conducted on computers.
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED AT AS&RCS:
- Original certificates / detailed mark sheets of each educational certificate/degree/diploma.
- Candidates serving in Government Institutions/Departments will render a No Objection Certificate (NOC) of the concerned establishment.
- Computerized National Identity Card or Computerized Form “B” along with Guardian’s Computerized National Identity Card (Father or Mother) for less than 18 years old candidates.
- One set of attested photocopies of the above-mentioned documents.
- 3 x Coloured Photos duly attested (front and back) by College Principal / Class-1 Gazetted Officer.
- Original as well as one photocopy of NOT RECOMMENDED letter by Inter Services Selection Board are also required for “Repeater” Candidates.
- Attested photocopies of the Domicile.
- Crossed postal order of Rs. 100/- in favor of Director General Personnel Administration (DGPA), GHQ Rawalpindi.
- Note: Old National Identity Card and old Form ‘B’ will NOT be accepted.
PRELIMINARY SELECTION:
- The Candidate declared successful in written and intelligence tests will undergo physical, medical tests, and preliminary interviews at AS&RCs. However, repeater candidates of PMA long courses are only required to undergo medical/physical tests. Whereas, the repeater candidates of PN and PAF will undergo complete preliminary tests.
- TCC repeater candidates who apply for PMA Long Course will only appear in physical, medical tests, and interviews.

FURTHER SELECTION:
Candidates qualifying for preliminary selection will be sent to ISSB for further tests. Medical examination of ISSB-recommended candidates will be carried out at the nearest CMHs. The final selection will be made at GHQ on the basis of the candidate’s overall performance.
REPORT AT ISSB:

PAKISTANI NATIONALS RESIDING ABROAD:
Eligible candidates residing abroad are exempted from Preliminary Selection for PMA Long Course. However, Defence Attaches will ascertain their overall suitability, physical deformity, and stammering aspects. Candidates are advised to approach Pakistani Embassies (Military / Defence Attaches) in the country where residing for issuance of application forms. They will submit their application forms along with connected documents through Pakistan Embassies by January and July for summer and winter entries respectively.
Postal order of Rs. 100/- and a bank draft of Rs. 500/- in the name of Personnel Administration Directorate GHQ Rawalpindi will be attached to the application form. Postal address in Pakistan should also be indicated in the application form so that call-up notice for ISSB Tests / Interviews and further correspondence with eligible candidates can be made to the given Pakistani address. No traveling allowance will be admissible for traveling to and from Pakistan.
