- The written examination fee is Rs. 660, and it can be paid at any branch of the two banks using the challan form as a nomination. Applications must be completed offline to be accepted hand Written applications won’t be accepted.
- Applications submitted manually or with incomplete instructions will not be accepted.

- There will be four phases to the recruitment process for candidates: written, physical, psychological, and interview. A candidate will not be able to advance to the final round if they fail any of the stages.
- There will be two sections of the written test (MCQ and Descriptive). Subjects for the descriptive nest will be Urdu, English, and Islamiat; for the objective nest (MCQ), Urdu, General Knowledge, and English will be included.
- The candidates need to have received an overall score of 40 in all three topics (Urdu) to pass. A minimum of 40 points must be earned on an individual basis in both General Knowledge and English.
- The physical exam will be administered by the standards for the written exam.
- For the physical exam, candidates should bring a water bottle and their jogging shoes.

AJKP is in charge of providing justice and security services to an estimated 4.5 million people living in an area covering 13297 square kilometers. It does this by using a network of 40 police stations that are staffed by its 9000 employees.
It began as the replacement of the former Jammu and Kashmir State Police Service in 1947 when it had only 900 officers. Since then, it has grown to include 9,000 officers and a sophisticated organizational structure. However, the outdated colonial legal system consisting of the Police Act 1861 and Police Rules 1934 still governs and regulates AJKP.
